If you love classic movies, you’ll want to check out Movies!

The Movies! tv network is a digital programming service available on local broadcast stations across America. It launched in January 2013 as a joint venture of Weigel Broadcasting (owners of classic TV service MeTV) and Fox Television Stations. Weigel was previously partners in another digital movie network, This TV.

Movies! offers a 24/7 schedule of classic movies in the 16:9 widescreen letterbox format, pre-empted only for 3 hours of educational programming on Saturday mornings. Although there is no Movies! affiliate here in Central PA, a quick check of their schedule showed an impressive mix of movies from the 1940s to the 1990s.

You can find Movies! on such stations as WNYW 5.2 New York, KCOP 13.3 Los Angeles, WFLD 32.2 Chicago and WTXF 29.2 Philadelphia. For more info and affiliate listings, please visit the Movies! TV Network website.
