Classic TV diginet MeTV is bringing the classic 1960s animated comedy The Flintstones back to broadcast television.

Other additions to the MeTV fall schedule include the Buddy Ebsen detective series Barnaby Jones, Bat Masterson, Carol Burnett & Friends, Highway Patrol and the original Twilight Zone.

Departing the schedule are The Carol Burnett Show, Mama’s Family, Night Gallery, The New Twilight Zone and the MeTV original series Collector’s Call.

  1. I finally cut the cord & I love MeTV, thanks for bringing back free clean family tv. Please change the time for Barnaby Jones to an evening time or Weekends. During the decision to bring back shows please consider ; The Streets of San Fran, Hawaii 5 O, Hunter, Baretta & Starsky & Hutch. I would love to see these shows put back on the air on Saturdays & Sunday’s. I work the third shift Monday through Friday so I watch a lot of tv on the weekends. I hope to see these shows added back & added to the line up during a time that I can watch. I love MeTV. Thanks

    • I’m not sure how long MeTV holds the rights to Mama’s Family but I would assume chances are it will return to the lineup.

  2. Hello, Will Mama Family return please😥😥 Since you are bringing the Flinstones, Could the Jetson make a return?? I Love Lucy??

    Thank You For Your Time.

    • Mama’s Family may return to the MeTV schedule in the future, so stay tuned. As for The Jetsons, I would imagine that if the Flintstones (premiering this Monday 9/30) is successful, MeTV may try to acquire The Jetsons as well. Keep in mind there were only 24 episodes of the original 1962-63 series while The Flintstones aired for 166 episodes. I Love Lucy is currently airing from 9-10AM Eastern on MeTV’s sister network Decades. Check https://www.decades.com/wheretowatch to see if Decades is available in your area.

  3. I would like for Mama’s Family to stay on the air instead of The Flintstones. I never did care for the show and didn’t watch it when it was on years ago. I like Mama’s Family. Please bring Bewitched to your lineup. What has happened to the Jeffersons?

    • MeTV competitor Antenna TV currently airs Bewitched weekdays at 2PM, 2:30PM and 3AM Eastern, plus Saturdays at 11:30PM Eastern. You can also find Bewitched on cable/satellite network fetv: weekdays at 12N and 12:30PM, plus Saturdays at 8AM and 8:30AM. MeTV still airs The Jeffersons 1x a week, Sundays at 10PM Eastern.

  4. LOGOtv currently shows Mama’s Family multiple times a day throughout the week. This is a clear indication that it remains one of the most watched rerun shows on cable tv on the same level with The Golden Girls and I Love Lucy. Mama’s Family is the only reason I was tuning in to MEtv. I even tried to buy episodes of Mama’s Family from the YouTube store, but after I did it wouldn’t play the shows on the YouTube app on my smart tv so I got a refund for the programs I purchased. Why MEtv would replace Mama’s Family with an old Flintstones cartoon program is beyond me. I have a hard and hectic life so stopping what I am doing to stop by MEtv to watch Mama’s Family is for me like comfort food that allows me to escape reality for a few minutes each day and enjoy a trip down memory lane when life was far more easier and stress free. I would even pay for Mama’s Family to be available as a subscription.

    • We all have our own tastes. Personally, I was thrilled to see The Flintstones back on broadcast TV for the first time in decades. Definitely comfort food for me!

FYI, you can buy Mama’s Family: The Complete Collection on DVD.
